headache and pulsatile tinnitus

I am a 52 year old female who has been experiencing intermittent pulsatile tinnitus in my right ear for about a year and began getting mild headaches on the back left side of my head about three months ago.  They do not occur at the same time. The tinitus usually comes on late at night.  The headaches usually appear in the afternoon, although they have come at various times during the day. The headaches are pretty much daily, but usually go away with one aspirin. The tinnitus sometimes appears adailynd  sometimes disappears for several  weeks or months.

Is it possible that these two things are related?

Hi jeanna. I have IIH or its old name, PTC.
Two of the main symptoms are, daily headaches and tinitus.Of course there is a lot more involved, but I would suggest you tell your dr what is going on with you  at the moment.IIH is a very rare illness and sometimes difficult to diagnose. Are you having any visual problems? If you need any help, drop me a line, Cath278.
