Hi I was stationary in a car when another car hit me from behind at 50 miles per hour, my gp wants me to go straight back to work i work as a district nurse so have to drive and do dressings on patients. pain is getting worse neck and lower back

You should first assess your damage. No fractures etc then take anti inflammatory drugs and rest for couple of days and after regaining some strength and no major problem you should get back to work. Take care!
