Hi rachy 1,
it was so sad to red all about you. But you must trust your treating doctor.
And if , in case, you have lost faith in your doctor, you need to meet a second neurologist/neuro-surgeon.
MRI is a must and i think, do a screening for the whole spine. Screening will cut down the cost factor as well as give a good report of the spine.
Dont get impatient....... Trust is the main key,
and fell free to keep me informed,
regards

A clean MRI on brain and upper spine leaves....lower spine.
A little research of my own points to a pinched nerve.
Get comfortable, take a mini course on the nerve system, and compare your symptoms to shed some light on your problem. I know you are patient and will be open to this!
