lightheadedness

I am 30 years old I have been suffering from lightheadedness since dec 2007. I have seen so many drs within the first 2 years i developed this, i had ct, mri on my head in 2008, i also had skull xray, chest, saw a ent which he sent me for a ct of my sinuses, due to pressure in my head and me blowing green yellow mucus which was not an infection. I had tons of blood work. Since 2010 til now i still have this problem, i feel off balance sometimes i never fall, i just feel like im walking down a hill and i'm not. I get pressure in my ears a lot aswell. I dont know what to do anymore and don't want to tell my new dr about this cause i feel people think its fine. I have normal blood pressure and i am thin. I eat healthy and currently quit smoking. I did have an epidural in 2006 when i had my child, not sure if this caused this but i didn't feel this til a year after the epidural. I need suggestions and am hoping some advice to get my dr to do some different tests that noone has thought of.

Thanks

I am going to be seeing a neurologist and a specialist who specializes in hormone levels when i find out i will give an update for those who have the same issue and cant find a diagnoses. Also my dr told me my mile valve leak would not cause this, so theres gotta be something elso that hasn't been looked at.

Thanks for all the responses

I saw a cardiologist in may last year i had echo done holter and all that was found was on holter: a few benign skipped beats in 48 hrs. On the echo: they found borderline Mild mitral valve leak, there is no murmor and everything else is normal.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there. The causes of dizziness or giddiness can be many involving various systems like postural hypotension, cerebrovascular disease, and cardiac arrhythmias. Certain neurological conditions like benign intracranial hypertension, peripheral neuropathy, meniere’s disease, vestibular migraine etc. Various metabolic causes can also cause giddiness like hypoglycemia, hypothyroidism, anemia, panic attacks.  Your neurologist should rule out cervical spondylosis, rheumatoid arthritis, alcoholism, and as a side effect to various antihypertensive and anti arrhythmic. You need to be checked for ischemic heart disease, a detailed evaluation for cerebrovascular disease and other possible etiologies. Dizziness needs to be distinguished as to whether it is vertigo, presyncope, disequilibrium, or non-specific dizziness. Therapy would be according to the cause and diagnosis. Hope this helps. Take care

Have you looked into other areas like
Are you on meds?
Have you thought of seeing a cardiologist? (sometimes lightheadedness can have to do with the heart.

Hi
Does the light headedness wax and wane or is it there all the time - every day and night all day and night? I've had the same thing for years. Had all tests and conclude that it's worst when my sinuses play up (suffer from chronic inflammatory sinus disease - i.e. sinusitis)
I don't know what to do and neither do the doctors. Flush sinuses with Fess nasal spray and try to clear my head - inhale vapour from hot water with Vicks in it etc. Mine might also come from my neck which has degenerative damage, but definately sinuses are involved. Sorry you suffer; its awful I know but no answers..
regards Kev

This is a series of testing to tell if your balance problem is coming from your inner ear or brain.  I would recommend having this done by an ENT Specialist.
