memory loss and fatigue

I am a 33 year old mother of 3.  For the past 3 years I have been experiencing fatigue and slight memory loss.  Today was very scary for me.  I was eating a bowl of oatmeal (just like I do every morning) and for the life of me I could not remember what the name of what i was eating was called?????  It took about 2 minutes before the name came to me.  I feel like I am going crazy.
I am ashamed that this is happening to me?  Whats wrong with me?

I know I have not been on in a while.
A lot has happened since my last post.
My symptoms starting getting pretty bad and after I started the new meds the neurologist put me on i assumed that was what was causing the new and worse symptoms.  I suffered at home for a week until my primary Dr. called me into his office.  Once i went to see my primary he admitted me into the hospital and and confirmed I hate late stage lyme disease.  Apparently my blood work from the neurologist and the hospital along with a spinal tap confirmed this all. I was in the hospital for a week and they sent me home with a heckmen line in my chest so i can receive IV antibiotics.  I currently am still home with the heckmen trying my hardest to make the best of this disease.  I have to say some days I just want to cry.  The memory loss has become more frequent.  I think that's the hardest part for me.  But I am hopeful that this will all get better in time.

That's the problem I seem to be sleeping a lot.  I have been extremely tired and have been suffering from migraines for over 3 years now.
I went to my primary on Tuesday he ordered a bunch of blood work and an MRI and sent me to a Neurologist on Friday.  The Neurologist was very concerned and ordered more blood work and set an appointment for an EEG.  The Neurologist assured me that it was nothing to be ashamed of and according to my medical history something was obviously going on and we needed to find out what it is.  So I feel a little better knowing she is helping me.  She did put me on 2 medications which already seem to be helping me :)

Do you get enough sleep? Sleep deprivation can cause short-term memory loss.

You might try taking gingko biloba. This leaf has been studied extensively and proved efficacious. I was part of a program for two years and the results wee nothing short of amazing.
