What could it be if not MS

Hi, I have had MS type symptoms for about 3 years now (fatigue, dizziness, confusion, tingling, sight problems, bowel problems, senory problems etc) - 1 year of which I have been undergoing tests for MS.  My scans have always shown white spots and possible demyelination  butI have had a negative lumbar puncture.  My GP has received a letter from my Neurologist advising that another scan is required with contrast and in the letter she advises that her thoughts are that it is Multiple Sclerosis.   I was comforted by the content of this letter in a way beacuse it made me feel that it could be MS and that now my condition has a name treatment can start and I can adapt my life for the better.  However, I have recently had an occupational health meeting through work, with a consultant, and he thinks it may not be MS, he did banter some possible conditions at me, however I was so shocked at what he said I can't remember.  Do you (or anyone) know with the above syptoms and results of the MRI, if this is not MS, what other conditions this could possibly be???  I do not have a meeting with my Neurologist uintil the new year - and am desperate to know what could be wrong with me??
Pleae help, kind Regards Helen

I've read that often MS sufferers have a Vitamin D deficiency...  in fact a vitamin D deficiency is very common... my daughter was diagnosed with it and they gave her a 10,000 not sure if it was mg's to take daily... she was very tired...  It is said that D has cured some MS cases

Hi,

Thanks for writing in.
MS can be confused with a variety of other disorders like B12 deficiency, Lupus, Lymes disease, degenerative diseases of the spinal cord, vasculitis, Sjogren’s and leukoencephalopathy.
Negative LP are rare but not unheard of in patients with MS. It is difficult to give a differential diagnosis without clinical exam.
