neurosurgery

hi a week ago i went to see neurosugeon consultant who told me that he did not no what to make of my mri scan and coulnt tell me what it was but sais that it wad large and didnt want to take a biopsy just said it was big and would rather remove it all than just take a biopsy. he said if it wasnt removed from my brain then i have a high risk of a brain hemorige, he said he would like to give me a full body scan aswell as another scan on my head to make sure nothing had spread. he said we would like me to go in and have scan and surgery within the next couple of weeks.
He also said that he would have to attend a meeting first and discuss this. Could any one tell me what he means by this as i still havent heard nothing yet. Will the hospital ring me are send out a letter i am confused as i know what he said as my mam and husband was in the room with me he wanted all this done within 2 weeks but a week as now passed and i no nothing and havnt had dcan yet who does he have to go in a meeting with . Thanks reply would be gratful

Hi,

Maybe he wants to discuss the case with fellow neurologists, although it is just a guess.
I would suggest you to please seek a second opinion if you don’t hear from him soon. Do keep us posted.

I had symptoms of weakness n my body electric shock feelings in my legs dizzness balance problems flickering in the eyes tierdness drowseness and strange feelings in my head, like a swelling feeling. I have had a mri scanofmy brain and there is a leison in the left temporal lobe. Neurosurgeon says it looks to be either a tumor r bunch of abnormal blood vessels. He said it needs to be removed as it is to large and could corse a hemoridge he said needs to be all done in 2 weeks but he needed to have a meetings. I havent heard anything yet. and he defo said scan and surgery within 2 weeks. Who is the meeting with who he has to discuss my problem

Hi,

What symptoms do you presently have?
From what I can make out from your post is that there seems to be a growth in your brain which has to be removed otherwise it would have serious consequences.
Since cancer spreads to other parts of the body as well he would like to scan the whole body to make sure it has not spread.
I would suggest you to push for a diagnosis and seek a second opinion if possible. Keep us posted!

Hello dear,
Please be kind enough to describe  about your symptoms to help me understand your problem .You should go in for all neurological investigations like MRI,CT scan to know the pathology before any treatment is started. No diagnosis can be made unless you specify your symptoms and undergo the investigations.
