numbness in face and teeth

I got caught up in an incident in a pub 4 days ago trying to break up a fight, only to end up with a glass shoved in my face. This left me with a deep cut under my eye, a swollen black eye due to the force and an immediate tingling sensation in my right upper teeth. Four days on and my face is still very swollen but now my right side of my face ie; my eye lid, forehead, nose and cheek are all numb, especially my teeth. My teeth do not feel like their my own, they are not out of line and do not appear to be loose just numb and it gets a stinging pain when I sniff or blow out. The doctor said it was something to do with the nerves may be been trapped/pinched. Will this go away in time?

i got punched in the face- mainly left side, one month ago. I got a smashed orbital cavity bone, nose fractures and the numbness you describe on almost all my upper teeth and mouth although none were loose. The biggest concern was the eye injury. A cat scan revealed no entrapment but a smashed bone which will actually mend itself over time! Who knew! I was not allowed to blow my nose at all. Feeling came back to all but 3 of my teeth. Above them the lip and nostril were numb - like when novocaine is starting to wear off. The dentist said that the nerve could have been severed and i may not regain feeling. But over the last week i have got back about half the feeling which makes it all much more tolerable. Im hoping it will continue to improve although im told nerve injuries can take up to a year to heal. Hope this helps and im sorry for your injuries.

I had a tumbler glass thrown at my face and I am currently numb from below my eye.
My left side of cheek, nose and lip are numb and tingling. Some of my teeth are also numb.
How long will this last for?
Will the swelling be here for a while?
