Hi, it happened to my wife recently too. Did your wife see doctor later and how was the result?
Hello dear and welcome to the medhelp forum. This sure is a cause for concern. The facial nerve has a complex intracranial course from the brain stem through temporal bone and exiting from the skull bottom. Trauma to the head including blows, concussion can cause symptoms referred to the facial nerve. Since she has sensory symptoms, this could be trigeminal nerve involvement. There is vomiting which could mean collection of blood intracranially, possible subdural hematoma leading to raised intracranial pressure necessitating emergency intervention. I suggest that you do not lose time and head for the emergency room. She might require immediate imaging studies and possible decompression based on the results. Wishing you all the best. I earnestly hope that you have sought medical opinion since there has been a delay in answering.
I would certainly at least call someone for an opinion.
