Lesions on the brain

I was diagnosed last year with MS. I have 4 lesions on the stem of my brain . in a matter of 2 years I have had 4 MRI  the lesions have never moved they are staying in the same spot. Now the Doctors are saying they believe it may not be MS, but they have no answer for me.. My question is have you ever heard of the situation happen to anyone else before that was Diagnosed with MS.

I am taking 400 mg of carbamazphine per day.

My symptoms from day one: numbness of all limbs, also to the face
vision is blurred at times also doubled along with floaters which I seem to have the floaters at all times.
Memory loss,  slurred speech, balance off which sometimes causing me to fall.
My left side seems to be worse then the right..... When I have a bad day (which I call it)
I have difficulty walking usually the left leg and arm I 'm not able to walk on.... if i do it will just  bounce and give out... A 4 to 8 hour stay in bed will usually fix this or even the next day I can get use back into my legs and arms. This is usually caused if I over do myself in a day.
The biggest problem  I seem to struggle with is the fatigue.
As i mentioned before the other symptoms are a sudden attacks.... I will very quickly start with my head bobbing back in forth then it suddenly moves right down to my feet, then at this point my whole body is shaking. Along with this  my hands and fingers  feet and toes are locked or you can say cramped. At  this  time all my muscles are hardened and I'm in alot of pain. This will continue for hours  (6hours is the longest I was left for)... until  the steroids is given.... Again the Doctors are confused why the steroid works within 10 to 15 min. This  medication will control this until 6 to 7 hours after, then it will start up again, this will usually  last for 3 days. After the 3rd day it seems to stop then I begin on the prednisone after the IV is given. Unfortunately I'm not able to receive any more steroids as they say I have already received to much.. Last week I had another attack which brought me to the hospital. I was given Ativan which did help control the attack for very short periods of time for again 2 days this lasted. With still no answer what is wrong with me.. The only thing the Doctor has said to me is this is not MS, he did at some point mention anxiety which I can't understand.

Hello.

Your doctors are probably doing the right thing. Even if there is a small doubt about MS being the cause, a prompt treatment help reduce a lot of damage. But you do not seem to benefit from the current medication. Are you receiving disease modifying drugs for suspected MS?

Can you describe your symptoms in detail?

Regards

My symptoms now have worsen over the last year. I have been experiencing muscle spasms which also include locking of all limbs and shaking at the same time. I have had  this happen to me 4 times  in the last 6 months. I have been hospitalized and placed on steroids. Even though the doctors are saying this not a MS attack or symptom they seem to be treating me for it. So here is also where I'm confused. I've continued to have the same symptoms right from the beginning  with new ones showing up.

Hello.

MS is a diagnosis of exclusion. You must have a high index of suspicion, but must rule out all other possible causes of the symptoms and the MRI lesions. Brainstem lesions can be produced by many other causes.

The MRI lesions should be correlated to clinical symptoms. How are your symptoms now? Are they also the same?
