subdural hematoma recovery

Hi my husband had an operation last Tuesday after he had a subdural hematoma a cause of head knock in his door's car since 3 weeks he is a diabetic he spent 3 days at hospital, after we came back from hospital he finds difficulty’s to find the words, when he wakes up every morning he has headache for a while he is on a medication called Epaunutin 100mg every 8h, I wonder for how long he will be back to normal? Many thanks

Please note this:
"If the level of phenytoin in your blood gets too high, it can cause symptoms such as confusion, rapid involuntary eye movements, blurred vision, slurred speech or clumsy movements. You should tell your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms while taking phenytoin, so that your blood level of phenytoin can be measured and your dose reduced if necessary. "

Also, he has had a major surgery, and will need time to recover. However, any changes need to be reported to the doctor.
