wet cold feeling

for the last couple of weeks the front of my thighs feel cold and wet and almost feel like they are sticking to my pants.  It's driving me crazy9and my wife) I am diabetic and it's controlled by diet and weight and exercise. What can be causing this?  I had a cold and cough last month and was treated first by perscription cough medicine and finally by antibiotics.

Thank you so much for your response. As a matter of fact, coincidentally, I saw our family doctor who also thought it may be peripheral neuropathy, and on Thursday we will meet to see if blood tests show deficiency in B12.It's still driving me crazy, especially in the evening.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello dear and welcome to the medhelp forum. Since you are a known diabetic, these could be signs of peripheral neuropathy or proximal or focal neuropathy. Long standing diabetes with poor blood sugar control could be responsible for neuropathy. Other things, which need to be ruled out, are nerve entrapment, vitamin deficiency and autoimmune diseases. You need to consult a neurologist for a complete evaluation and get nerve conduction studies or electromyography to check for the type and extent of damage. Hope this helps. Wishing you all the best.
