Say someone drove an...8" nail through the palm of my hand (Jesus style). Now imagine somehow I could withstand the pain and puled it out. I'd have a hole in my hand right?
Would I still be able to move my fingers? Or would the nerves that connect my fingers to my brain be dead/damaged/broken? Im just curious to know how the hands (and fingers) get the order from the brain to move.
I mean, I once had a concussion and lost dexterity of my hand. I could still move my arm and wrist, but I had no control of my fingers, so If somehow, someone drove a nail through my hand, would I also lose finger dexterity? (i think the medical term is "fine motor skills")
Thanks :D
