are your kids in daycare?
We started clarinex about 2or3 weeks ago and I think we have found the answer. I'm glad that something works for her and I don't have to give her something on top of that for dripping relief! As for the clinic I wish we could go, but we are on the other side of the U.S. Thankfully our situation is not too too severe and we will maybe just hang in there and see if the clarinex continues to help.I just recently got a new m.d. for myself and she gave me the name of a pediatric allergist specialist. I guess if the clarinex stops working for us we maybe will go and just see what he says. We don't use spray Lysol and I regret to say I usually only do major cleaning maybe 1x a week!!LOL We have hardwood in most of our house and I don't sweep I use the swiffer so that I don't make a big dust cloud. Thank you.
If you are using antiseptical aerosol in your home, I would recommend stopping that. Aerosol sprays such as lysol, etc can cause ear nose and throat problems for people sensitive to it.
I would look for environmental problems such as this.
Do you have insurance? Use it and call the Sansome Clinic in Santa Barbara, California. This facility is for diagnostics. People go there for one week, get tested for everything under the sun and get an actual diagnoses and started on a wellness path. They have been there forever and are the best in the world. It is where you go when there is no where else to go for answers. The answers are there.
I have to wonder about your doctors because two year old children do not have sinus that are developed enough to have sinusitis. Eustation tubes may be problematic, but not sinus.
Take the child to this clinic and in a week you will know everything you need to get your child well. They will begin a treatment regime and send you home. They will notify your doctors of their findings so that the treatment can continue when you go home. good luck
Thank you for your response I had this posted under the wrong list and afraid no one would respond. I have asked her ent, but he reccommends the same thing as the pediatrician. I just hate to medicate her everyday. I guess I will have to. thanks!
My children, especially my 5 year old have chronic sinus problems as well. We just use Claritin and some Tylenol Sinus for children which of course they are no longer making! Have you tried a pediatric ENT to see if its something more serious and have you tried a pediatric allergist to see exactly what her allergies (which can cause sinus issues) could be? My mother has a ton of meds she has to take for hers as well, and your body gets use to them after a while so she may need a different medicine.
