To help treat hypoglycemia is to minimize the length of time between meals (5-6 small meals a day). It is recommended not to eat too much carbohydrate per meal and actually eat more protein to help the blood sugar not to decrease rapidly, plus eat a variety of health foods. Suggest consuming 1800 calories per day spread between the 5-6 small meals. That will help you lose weight, control hypoglycemia, and feel better. Hoped this helped you.
Hi there. Just commenting on the diet ... I know my husband has the same problem as you. He dieted and dieted and did not lose weight. Come to find out, he has Hypothyroidism. So, you might want to get checked for that as it's the biggest reason that folks can't lose weight.
Also, another diet reference ... I'm having to enjoy a Gluten Free way of eating now, for the rest of my life. My husband loses weight eating as I do. So, you might want to give that a try as well. Just make sure to take a daily vitamin fortified with all the B vitamns if you eat Gluten Free. You might be surprised too, how good you will feel eliminating Gluten from your diet.
Good luck!
