Vitamin b5

Hi

I have been suffering from acne for more than half of my life. I am a 27 year old male. I have taken accutane 3 times, ,when I was 15,17 and 20. I have tried every topical treatment out there and nothing seems to work. I really only get it around the chin and mouth area.

I have read about taking Vitamin B5...I am wondering if you know anything about this and if it is safe? And if not, do you have any recommendations for somthing that may work. I have tried cutting out dairy and I would try cutting out caffeine but I am a coffee drinker so its rough.

Any other thoughts or recommendations are appreciated.

Thanks

Natural or synthetic analogues of vitamin A has been successful with skin disorders including acne vulgaris. Research has shown supplements of vitamin A has not proved successful. Before you take supplements of any minerals/vitamins, such as zinc, suggest getting blood work first to see what your levels are. Taking too much zinc can lower your immune system. Hoped this helped you.

Hi, I had acne from puberty until about age 30 when I heard that zinc deficiency can cause acne. I rushed out and bought zinc supplement tablets and my acne cleared up and has never returned! I have heard it can be different vitamin and or mineral deficiencies in different people, but that was it for me
