Weight Problems

My name is meli and i am 14 1/2 years old ... i weight 280 pounds but i am really tall.. i am 5'09-5'10 or something... i know that i am really big bigggg for my age .. but my tummy is my real problem like that is the only thing that is big on me and my legs and arms look okay.. and i tired to lose weight alot of times but nothing worked.. soo i hope someone can tell me what to do and how to lose the weight :) it will help ! thanx!

Exercise will help alot.
I've been told froma pretty reliable source
that if you up your pure water drinking
you'll help yourself to burn fat, and that couple with
exercise will help alot.

hey thanx .. i been reading alot of stuff and like me and my sister are starting a diet 2morrow. which i hope works. it always works for herrr she lost alot of weight!! she was 215 and now she is 175 !!! woww!! i was i can lose weight like that.. =]

I would recommend you start some kind of a workout program you can stick with, maybe find a good friend to do it with you. Eat small frequent meals. Don't eat too much fruit it turns into sugar, eat more vegs and lean meats. eat carbs like yams, red potaoes, rice. Do a lot of reading. There are some great web sites and forums out there with great info. Dr OZ has a good book out there you could read and learn from.  

Just do your best to stay away from junk food. This is going to be a life style change NOT a diet till you reach your goal. And if you slip up dust yourself off and get back in the game. Remember  Y O U  CAN DO IT!!!!!

Wow - i know you expected such response but, take heart my dear - the fact that you have come to this forum - you are positive that you need help. Am 5'7 - 32 years and i weigh 220 pounds - thats still big. I have started exercises and reduced on my calorie in take.

It might be hard for you, but i suggest you start walking everyday for 30 minutes - you could have your parents buy you a treadmill and use it at home. Stop drinking fizzy drinks, cola, orange juice - replace it with water. Eat fruits - Apples especially - (limit bananas)- to fill you up. Get whole grain cereals or oatmeal for breakfast. Do not eat french fries, cheese cakes, dougnuts, cookies, etc. Try and eat lots of vegetables, lean meats, chicken (without he skin), fish and turkey.

All the best - you could join weight watchers for better support groups.
