Please I need help!

Recently had surgery done to repair a torn meniscus. After a week I bent my knee and I felt air being sucked in so I straightened my leg out and redish orange, serum like fluid came oozing out. A couple times it was as much as a strawberry coming out, but it has reduced some. However, I am still having air being sucked in and out of my incision. And the fluid goes from light brown to a peachy color. Should I be worried of an infection?

Thank you so much! I did go to my doctor and he said I should have fluid oozing BUT NOT what I had. He put in more stitches because apparently one popped and wasn't allowing my skin to heal back together. Thank you again!

Hi!
Please consult your orthopedic surgeon immediately. You should not be having this discharge seeping out after a week or more. Also there should be no feeling of air being sucked in or out. This could be due to infection. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.
