Boxer's Fracture (with cast)

so 2 weeks ago i punched a wall and my 5th metacarpal was broken. the doctor said it was pretty bad because the broken metacarpal was placed near my 4th metacarpal. well anw he was an orthopedic and put my finger in the right position and placed a cast. Then he did some xrays to make sure that the metacarpal was placed correctly and it did. now after watching the doctor in my town we saw that the neck of the 5th metacarpal has moved a bit downwards. he said that after it heals , it will be fine but it might be noticeable to others and thats what is worrying me. so shall i do a surgery or just leave it like this and it will be fine? btw i don't want to charge my parents 1000euro for a stupid moment i had. please give me your opinions fast since i have 2-3 days left to decide since my bone will heal.

If there is a rotation at the small finger there will be some crossing of the ring and small finger when you make a fist. noticeable not that much it will not look ugly any way just a small bumb. As a hand therapist I have seen this many times and I have broken my 5th MC a few times and I have not had any problems

It won't be painfull and if the dr is not wanting to do surgery than you would be doing it for cosmedic reasons every surgery has its pros/cons doing this I would say if you could live with a little rotation of the small finger and a small bumb in the back of your hand than leave it be for the next time you punch the wall and break your hand than they can fix it then. cons agianst any surgery increase pain, worse disfigurment with the scar than the little bumb your going to have . the follow on therapy that will intell more than what you might have to go through know so no surgery that is what I say but it is up to you
