Broken Pelvis healing time

I broke my pelvis, the pubic rami in two places 6 months ago and its still sore when I walk or try to do much. I also have a total  hip replacement on the same side but this wasnt damaged in the accident. How long before i will mend? My xrays show the breaks are trying to grow scar tissue? but the gap is quite wide. My orthopedic surgeon isnt worried at all but my life is controlled by my hip pain and lack of mobility.
