EMG testing

I need to know if by taking pain medication before my EMG testing, whether or not it would have a influence on the outcome of the nerve testing.  I just wasn't thinking before I went for the test and only after the test did I think that it might of had a negative affecton the outcome?  Thank you

The answer is yes, pain medication could affect the outcome of an EMG, but not necesssarily. Review your test results, and if you believe there are inconsistencies, have another.
