Knee Injury - MRI results are out (need explanation)

Hi everyone,
I hurt my right knee in October 5th and through an ultrasound it was a probable partial tear in the LCL. The family doctor booked an appointment for me to get an MRI done as well. I did the MRI yesterday and the results came in today. The family doctor did a poor job of explaining what this is but I asked for a copy of the results and it is as followed:

"Prior partial tear of the lateral collateral ligament is suspected. There is a complex multiplanar tear of the lateral meniscus. A small Knee join effusion and mild semimembranosus bursitis are seen".

The family doctors booked me to see an orthopedic but I'm not sure when he'll be in contact with me.
To the doctors on reddit, what is the healing process like? what can i do in the meantime (i've been doing RICE method since oct 5th)? Will surgery be required? Lastly, any tips and final advices that I may need to know before seeing a orthopedic? On a scale of 1-10 how bad is this?
