I am a licensed massage therapist with a current client who has this condition. While edema is a contraindication for massage, it can help with this particular condition and was recommended by the client's physician. One way you can alleviate some of the pain associated with it would be to have the surrounding muscles worked upon. Working the hip flexors, psoas, hamstings, and quads have proven to be most beneficial. However, just a side note to be careful to not have the LMT perform deep friction or trigger point at the greater trochanter attachments as it would aggrevate the condition. Hope this helps to all looking for some pain relief as I have heard it is quite painful.
Sincerely,
Illinois Licensed Massage Therapist
hi buddy,
orthopaedician will check whether the possibility of occult fracture is present or not. coz, if it's present, things could be risky for you as you can aggravate this fracture which can result into a surgery. So meet him soon,
