Thanks but have you seen anyone with different sized leg bones like his,That is the puzzling thing that all his drs cannot figure out,They all say that they haven't seen this.I was wondering if you have seen or heard of this.
His bone age in his hands are showing a growth of 2 years and 8 months and then other bones in his hands are showing 4 years and 6 months and he is only 3years and 5 months.
Like I said we are not concerned about the LLD.
Hello!
If one of your son's legs is longer than the other leg, he has a common problem known as leg length discrepancy. In your son's case it is normal and do not worry.
A typical difference in leg length can be anywhere from 1 cm, which usually does not cause any problems, to more than 6 cms.
The greater the discrepancy, the more he has to compensate with his normal posture and gait (walking pattern) in day to day life, which can lead to a variety of symptoms, such as functional scoliosis, hip, knee and ankle problems but in his case it is absolutely fine.
Take care!
