Persistent Ulnar Subluxation

Hi guys,
I have a number of joints issues and I'm not sure if they're related. I've been under orthopedic care for 6 years for my elbows specifically. I have, according to my specialist, 'subluxing ulnar nerves'. I have just had my third operation on my left elbow in november and have now recovered enough to know that it hasn't worked. The doctors have not been clear about exactly what they have done, but it seems that over the 3 operations they have decompressed the entire length of the ulnar nerve... transposed it... and removed some scar tissue... (possibly also cut a ligament)
I basically feel so helpless and depressed that this hasn't worked for the third time and would like to know if anyone has anything to say that they feel is relevent or any suggestions on my plan of action or possible complications. There is no swelling on any of my joints, so i guess I can rule out snapping triceps as a cause for the persistent subluxation. I don't understand how I can still have the same problem in the same place if the nerve isn't there any more.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Michael

Hey Michael!

Well, without knowing the relevant clinical details or a detailed clinical evaluation it would be difficult to comment specifically on the situation. With issues related to the ulnar nerve, management would include treating the primary condition, adequate pain control and movement improvement. It would be best to discuss the situation, the suggested management plan and the expected prognosis in detail with your treating orthopedician.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!

I should also mention that the left elbow (the one that was operated on) 'catches' just before it straightens during resisted extension. Additionally i get painful cracking in my left shoulder and wrist.
