Five years ago I fell down the stairs and ended up with a tib/fib radial fracture. I had surgery and they put in a rod and screws. For the following five years, everytime I took a step it HURT. Then on September 29th, 2012, I was just walking and I stumbled over the dogs bed - that's all it took. The very top of my tibia broke and also sheered away part of the head of my fibia. Yes, the same leg as five years earlier. I know, I'm a mess! This injury was actually more painful than the first one. I'm not allowed to do anything with it for six weeks. Granted, I'm not really looking forward to therapy - I'm worried that's it's going to get all the nerves 'fired up.' If that does happen, would it be inappropriate to ask the orthopedist to prescribe something. Or should I just 'suck it up' and cope?? I hope you are all doing well ... I do wish you the very best! :-)
