TKA MANIPULATION AND DRIVING ??

I am having a "manipulation" done on my knee tomorrow.  The doc doesn't feel my ROM is where it should be (90deg) after 8wks post op,
I am wondering if anyone out there had this done ??  What was your experience ??  How long after the proceedure did it take before you could drive your car again ??
I am scheduled for tomorrow 3/16/11 and have to be back here to work (which means driving) on sunday.

Thanks for the reply.  However, i probably didn't give you enough information.  I am 53yrs and had TKR done 1-10-11.  My Range of Motion was only at 90deg.  I had the "Manipulation" done on 3-16-11.  The procedure wasn't too bad.
I was driven to therapy today.  My therapist put me in intense pain !!
I do believe i will be able to drive tomorrow. !!!
I have my leg in a CPM machine and absolutely love it !!!
I will be going to therapy 7days straight now.  This is intense !!  But, hopefully will be well worth it.  I am at 0 extension and 97 deg flexion.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

If your pain has subsided and you had done proper physiotherapy after your TKR then there is nothing much to worry.

Rest for couple of weeks after a successful manipulation and start and continue your physiotherapy in a progressive way following all instructions of your Orthopedician, I think in one month’s time you will able to drive your car if you do not have any complications.

Take care!
