thank you for your kind support dr. Tenotomy was done on yesterday, he is fine, but a little bit disturbed, may be bcoz of the pain. dr. said a casting of 6 weeks again should be done..hoping everything will come good...

After a few weeks of casting a tenotomy/ release surgery may be done for CTEV. Though technically it just requires local anaesthesia; a GA is often required for children especially babies, since you cannot tell them to lie still, not try to move and expect them to obey. Yes, there would be higher risks associated with the GA, but anesthesiologists have expertise in handling the situation and one should not over-worry about it. You may still like to discuss the situation with your anesthesiologist/ orthopedician and clear your doubts, if you have any.
