What now?

I have splinted my finger for 4 weeks now which is how long I was told to so. My little finger is still swollen crooked an painful. My dad and aunt think I should rebreak it and go to the er this time. At first I was put out by this idea but has been 7 months since I first hurt it and nothing seems to help. What should I do? Mom won't take me to see doc again and I'm running out of options. Please give me some suggestions.

It's a no go. And over the weekend it has gotten worse. I'm almost back to square one. My finger swelled way up and I'm taking pain meds every 4 hours. It now looks like a bigger version of what it looked like in may. Mom said she didn't think there was anything more doc could do. I kept heat on it all weekend to help with pain. Should I just rebreak it and go to the e.r? Thanks for the advise.

Ok thanks she might go for since it is so swollen. I'll tell my dad and aunt not yet.

Hello!

Go for a latest X-ray scan and convince your mom to see an orthopedician.

If healing is complete then you can start physiotherapy and if your fracture has not healed then follow all instructions of an orthopedician as it is already 4 weeks!

Take care!
