Gail Miller

I had an Mri of my foot but doc will be away for a week and I need to know what the results mean.
"Post contast images demonstate mild marginal enhancemnet within the marrow at this location likely reactive."

Can you tell what this means please.  I can't sleep at night worrying and wondering about this.

Hi there!

The MRI describes changes suggestive of mild inflammation which could occur secondary to trauma or degeneration or secondary to systemic issues; and may require clinical correlation/ complete MRI report for a definite diagnosis. I would suggest discussing the situation and the suggested management plan in detail with your treating orthopedician.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
