front toes always hurt no matter what shoes

I'm not sure which subcategory to go, for there is no podiatry section.

I love hiking.  The longer I hike, the front of the toes, especially 3rd and 4th, if counting from the big toe, hurt more.  I did try various kinds of shoes and boots.  However, the result is always the same.

I ask my husband if his toes hurt, for we always hike together.  His never hurt.  With the same hiking time and speed, I'm not sure why mine always hurt and get bruised (it's the bruising hurts, but not about bone or muscle.  my boots and shoes are fitting.

I also cut the toe nails straight, and make sure I don't get ingrown nails.  Thus, I'm puzzled.

Any suggestion or input?  Thanks
