help kids that awake at night screaming in pain

My 4 year old son has been complaining of his right foot hurting for about 1 and a half years. It happens at night and he wakes up screaming and he cant even walk to my room he has to be carried. I thought it was probably growing pain cause my 10 year old boy has had problems with growing pain in his legs in front of the shin bones and calf area, but im starting to think its something else in both of them. My 10 year old its both legs and he is involed in alot of sports and my 4 year old its only the right foot that ive noticed. What should i do? what do you think?

I just remembered that also some kids do not like to drink to water. (My niece used to hate drinking water.) It could be that they might need to drink more water.

I hope this helps,

You're poor son. Have you talked with his doctor about it? Also it could be he needs more magnesium and or potassium. If he can eat them, nuts are a great source. Is it possible a chiropractor could help? Since he is a growing boy he might need an adjustment or he gets in a position while he is sleeping that pinches something and causes his foot to hurt. I am sorry I could not help you more. I hope that you get your answers.
