thank you for your time. I can imagine it is limited with all your duties. I have become frustrated with my treatment or lack there of. I dont assume to replace my Dr's education and experience with a few hours of internet research, but, everything I have read and heard tells me there are treatments available that would lesson my symptoms and expedite my recovery. I have attempted to approach my Dr about other treatments and he will not entertain any options at all. He tells me that if the pressure put on my feet was enough to break bones then imagine what happened to the tissues surrounding them. He says that my tendons are intact proven by the fact that I can move my toes. He says that I have nerve damage to the nerve pathway that runs along the outside of both feet. With all this damage he admitts is there he also says that there is nothing more that can be done. My treatment has consisted of a brace on my left foot and a screw in my right ankle. Thats it besides pain pills. I am wondering if I am being unreasonable in wanting some type of treatment besides what mother nature is providing.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

You can use diclofenac skin patches to get a sustained relief from pain. Also take intermittent ibuprofen and naproxen for the pain. Rest and do not exert yourself and do not do any weight bearing. Keep your feet elevated on a pillow during sleep.

If the pain and inflammation continue then follow up with your orthopedician for a pain prescription.

Take care!
