right broke foot, left swollen ankle

My right foot is broke and in a cast, been 3 weeks now in a cast. My left foot outside ankle started swelling due to most of my weight being on it while up on my crutches briefly as it were. Should I use icyhot product or use icepack and how often. Should I elevate both feet now?

I am sorry to hear about your medical problems.  Apply ice pack and raise both legs. You could have sprained the left ankle. So you may need to put pressure bandage on that. Please show that to your doctor as well. Take care!
