tenosynovitis help

I developed this desease 5 years ago in september 2003 because of excess of using the computer, it affects the tendon of my indicator finger (about 5 cm down of my pulse) where i have a small inflamation of my tendon. It was diagnosticated when i went to a ortopedist about 4 months after the problem started. It said me to rest and take some anti inflamatours (ibuprofen).
I managed to live my life with it and its rare when it hurts (only if i use my finger for the mouse too much). But since i am at university studying IT, and planning have a professional life where i use computers everyday.
I wanted to know if there is a solution to end my problem at all, like a (steroid injection) to help reduction my inflamation that decreased over time but never disappeared.

Sorry for my english
Thank You

I went to see a regular orthopedic doctor, i didnt even know there were hand specialists, another question, that cortizone shot is easy to administer? without somekind of rest for like 1 month without moving my hand/finger?

Thank for your answer

Did you see a hand surgeon or specialist or a regular orthopedic doctor?  I would try to find a hand specialist, then maybe he could tell you the options.  A cortizone shot might help.
