That is great news! I hope all goes well again in 6 weeks!
I just wanted to follow up and let you know the outcome.
I had my MRI and just got the results this morning.
The scan showed that there were no solid components on my cyst. So it is still a simple cyst. The MRI doctor recommended follow-up in 6 weeks to see if it has resolved. Just wanted to let people know, since it was so frustrating when doing my research when you don't hear about how someone's diagnosis ended up.
Proof that ultrasounds can be wrong. The MRI was able to disprove everything my doctor thought she saw in the vaginal ultrasound.
Thanks to the 2 posters above for their input.

Hello,
Yes simple ovarian cysts can convert into complex one. You need to get it evaluated further and also get CA 125 tumor marker done to rule out the possibility of any ovarian cancer.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Yes a cyst can change over a period of time if it is not reabsorbed, but my best guess would be that it was never a simple cyst to start with. If there is something else going on now that this new doctor is worried about, It could probably just have started to change.
I hope that all goes well!
