Ultrasound question

On October 30, 2007, I had a Mirena IUD placed in as a way of delaying a hysterectomy.  At the time of the placement, an ultrasound was performed with the following findings:  "Multiple calcifications in endometrial lining right ovary additional findings include wnl left ovary additional findings wnl no cysts seen"  I understand the no cycts seen but what does everything else mean?

The doctor that I saw the other day says that everything is fine and there is no need to do another ultrasound.  Of course, he is a man and I have found from past experiences that women know best, not men, when it comes to things of this nature.  Right now my plans are to wait until a week or so after the time all of this occurred at the beginning of the month to see if it might be cycle related.  If there is another occurance then I will proceed to look for another doctor.  I thought I was buying some time but now I wonder.  I have had a few pains today.
I do not understand why they shrunk within a few weeks, even before I had the IUD placed.
Do you hear of the IUD becoming imbedded into the uterus very often?
I believe I just want it out.
Thanks for the help.

The readings are slightly enlarged on your first ultrasound and then shrunk to normal
when did you have the IUD implanted ? Remember that the IUD has hormone in it to prevent ovulation and it seems (though I am ot a medical professional, just a woman who was on this road slightly longer than she wanted to) that the IUD has done its job and is practically curative of the PCOS.
To be clear though, i would strongly recommend a second opinion ... endometriosis can cause some rather painful symptoms and some potentially large endometriomas (cysts)
and it can very adversely affect your fertility, as well as the PCOS
I hope you at least have a plan in place for semi routine ultrasounds (probably every six months for two years then every year thereafter)
I pray Gods Blessings Upon U

There were no measurements on that one but the one performed 10/8/07 the measurements were right ovary l:  2.3 cm, w: 2.8 cm, d: 2.6 cm, additional findings include: dom foll - 1.4 x 1.4 x 1.2 cm and left ovary l: 3.7 cm, w: 1.4 cm, d: 2.6 cm, additional findings:  bll follicles.  I have been diagnosised in the past with endo and PCOS.  Back the first part of October I started having symptoms that are very similar to pregnancy symptoms.  I am worried.  Could it be that I was ovulating at that time or could it be something else?  Hormone blood work shows:  FSH 4.9l, LH 15.9 mIU/mL, and Progesterone 1.0 ng/mL.  All the doctor says is that there is no way I could be having a problem with an IUD and that my hormones are normal.  Please help

hiyas
"wnl" = within normal limits = w00 h00 time to party

with the exception that you would like a more thorough report with measurements
etc ... the calcifications in the endometrium can have multiple meanings so i would
again ask for measurements and possible diagnosis

pray u hear good news
