Could my hemorrhagic cyst be something more serious

I went to the ER with crippling abdminal pain on my lower right side. After a CT scan they determined I had appendicitis along with a mass on my ovary, which my ovary was doubled in size. They determined I had a 3cm hemorrhagic cyst with small calcium particles on my ovary. Nothing further was said or done about the cyst. The pain somewhat subsided after my appendectomy but I still have pain and I have a brownish/red discharge and I find I cant hold my bladder. Could I have a more severe condition?

Thanks for they reply! I went to the dr yesterday and the cyst is still there. She mentioned I also had calcium deposits on my ovary, what does that mean? She said if the cyst doesnt go away on its own then we have to consider more serious conditions. She mentioned endometriosis. What is going on with my ovaries?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
HI,
Severe abdominal pain can be caused by rupture of a cyst or haemorrhage inside the cyst or torsion of the cyst. Hence the cyst that was found needs to be followed up by doing an ultrasound scan in view of the abdominal pain and red discharge. Not being able to hold the bladder is a matter of concern. Review with your Doctor and an urologist to find out the cause of the same.
Take care and good luck.
