Hi All,
Does anyone know what the risk factor is if you have someone (grandma) who had cervical cancer/ovarian cancer in her early 30's? I've had a lot of issues and wonder if these could have been prevented if I had known about my grandma prior. Do the doctors treat you differently or pay more attention to detail if they know there is a history of some kind?
Thanks,
Jassi
In my case, I've had non-cancerous breast growths (microcalcifications) and the doctor(s) seemed interested, but not alarmed, when I mentioned my 2 aunts with Breast Cancer. However, when I added that my sister is an Ovarian Cancer survivor, they became very concerned and suggested that I undergo genetic testing.
