I recently read an article about a woman who absorbed her twin in the womb, and didn’t think that much of it other then it was interesting. I’ve been having problems recently with periods, before I was diagnosed with polycystic ovaries and had roughly one/two periods a year but for the last four months I have not stopped bleeding at all, just continuous. I have been to the doctors and so far I’ve had an ultra sound which showed a 8cm cyst in my left ovary.
I am going to have more tests but I’m having to wait now for an opening for an MRI, and my curiousity has gotten the best of me. I’ve been reading more and though it’s unlikely to be like the twin case, I think I should mention I did have a twin which did vanish in the womb.
What is the likelihood that this has anything to do with this?
Also, on another note, should my doctors be taking me more seriously? Everytime I see someone they are reluctant to send me for tests even though I have been bleeding non stop for 4 months now.
