Post ovarian surgery removal

Had ovaries removed last Fri.  Had history with cysts but this time surgery was recommended because one cyst was at least 4cm (still waiting pathology outcome).  After surgery told cyst was larger than ultrasound shown, larger incision was needed on that side.  Other incisions don't bother me but the larger incision is OMG pain & beyond!  Today is my first day trying to go without percoset.  The large incision pain was burning, incredible, ripping pain that at times I thought I was going to pass out.  I cannot drive till next Monday or lift heavy things.  I am still bloated & gassy.  My stomach is like a beach ball!  How long should this last?  May seem gross, but first bowel movement since the Fri morning of the surgery was yesterday.  I am not eating alot.  Am dizzy & nauseous from yesterday's percoset.

I cancelled a trip to Asheville that we were to be leaving for in 4 days.  Maybe I did that prematurely?  I wonder how much better I will feel in 4 days (Asheville is 13 hrs away & I'm not allowed to drive).

Thank you for your response.  What I realized days later: Not eating was causing some of the weakness I was feeling.  After seeing my dr for follow up it seemed the cyst was larger than the ultrasound had shown pre-op.  THIS 6.5cm was also imbedded in my ovary.  This caused a larger incision than planned.  Thus my recovery is slowed cause of this.  The belly button & right ovary incision never caused me any trouble.  It took 8 days till I felt like I was somewhat coming back to myself.  Dr projects a good 1-3 weeks more till I'm back to my usual self/full activities.  This is not that unusual, as statistically removal of both ovaries recovery can take from 2-6 weeks.

Call the doctor if you are still in pain so severe that you feel you will pass out.
