Complex ovarian lesion..

First, let me say that after skimming over several sights, this one has seemed most informative, most helpful and has the most supportive and empathic group I've come across. Bless those that have shared their stories and for those who have reached out. Being new, and jumping the gun, I posted my original message in the wrong forum but my error was corrected and post moves to the right community. Thank you.
So I have a couple more questions regarding my original post. After a recent CT the report included the following:

There is a complex left ovarian
lesion measuring 1.9 cm and containing internal fluid density,
likely representing a cyst or follicle.

I'm 48 yo, i have no information regarding maternal health hx. I continue to have a regular period and have noticed that the last 2 cycles were a little more "crampy" and the flow, heavier. I have read that unless the cyst is biopsied, there is no way to determine if it may be cancerous.  I am scheduled for an US 3 this week and will follow up with my doctor. What should I ask?? Thank you all again for your comments and support.

You should check with your doctor about rescheduling.

Welcome to the community. I do not have much more to offer besides my reply to your "Petrified" discussion. As stated, most ovarian cysts, even complex ones, are benign. Also, the fact that it contains "internal fluid density" and the statement on the u/s (per your other discussion) "This is probably physiologic in a premenopausal patient" is indicative of being benign. This plus the size would make it reasonable to follow-up with another ultrasound.

I was grossly over-treated for a complex ovarian cyst after my gyn used ovarian cancer scare tactics. I wish I had slowed things down and not let him rush me into surgery.

Keep us posted on how this progresses.
