Need advice on what to expect

I just had laparoscopy surgery to remove a 6.2cm ovarian cyst. What and how long can I expect recovery to take?

I have had a couple of laparoscopic surgeries and abdominal surgery.  Recovered quickly after the laparoscopic procedure, maybe a week. Your doctor should have given you post op instructions as to lifting, driving, etc.  my recovery time after abdominal incision was 6 weeks

The recovery period is different for everyone. With a laparoscopy it's not bad. It depends on how much work had to be done besides removing the cyst. If your dr sees some other things he may repair them too. Things like your age, health and daily activities you expect to be able to do should be taken into consideration as well. You will have some bleeding and cramping post surgery. Good luck to you!
