Holy Cow!! I can't believe that you doctor said you were ready for normal activity after only 6 days!!! It sounds like you had more of a laparotomy than a laprascopic surgery. I do hope you are feeling much better by now. Please let us know how you are doing. I also hope that you got the second opinion you were talking about.
Aida, please let us know how are you doing. 4" bikini incision sounds like laparotomy to me and that takes more time to recover. Hang in there.

I just had surgery for Endometriosis about 3 weeks ago and I am still at home. Although I don't have pain from the Endometriosis anymore, thank God!, the healing process is not as fast as I would've thought. The stitches on the left and right side of my ovaries hurt so bad, and I am resting most of the time. I started walking outside a bit now that the weather is much nicer, but I suggest you don't overdo things. There are a lot of muscles around the area and be careful not to overwork them because they are still healing. Get around as you can, but don't do more than your body can handle. Hope for a speedy recovery...
6 DAYS after surgery? That was a fairly irresponsible thing for a doctor to say. You had abdominal surgery and at a minimum should have done little to nothing for two weeks, possibly longer, to heal properly. Two weeks is a minimum. If a lot of work had to be done, the healing time can sometimes approach the healing time for laparotomy/open surgery. Even if the incisions are smaller for laparoscopic surgery, the internal work is much the same as for traditional surgery.
Doctors need to give much more detailed healing instructions so that patients understand it TAKES TIME to heal, no matter how much less invasive the incision was.
It does not take much to set back healing several days or weeks just by overdoing it. I hope you start to improve soon!
