Hello.  Fortunately, I don't have any history of cancer in the family.  On the ultrasound report, kind of cyst is not indicated. I am still menstruating regularly, and the ultrasound was done 2 weeks after my menstruation. Many years back I have dysmenorrhea every month.  am 40 y.o. now. thanks for your help

Welcome to the community. Sorry you are dealing with this. You said "I am very worried this time." Have you had ongoing problems with cysts or a thickened lining?

If you do not have a family history of ovarian cancer then your lifetime risk is less than 2% (1.3% per U.S. government statistics). Most ovarian cysts are benign and resolve on their own in 2 to 3 cycles. Do you know the type of these cysts? The ultrasound report should give some details.

Are you still menstruating and is your cycle regular (aside from the spotting)? You did not say what day of your cycle the ultrasound was done. It is normal for the lining to get up to 16mm in the second half of the cycle. Having a u/s 1 or 2 days after your period ends is the best indicator of how well your lining is thinning out if that is a concern.

I hope this is nothing serious. Please keep us posted.
