Ovarian Cyst? Awaiting Scan

Hi, just wondering if anyone can relate to the symptoms I am having. I am going for an Ultrasound scan on Monday on my abdomen as I have constant nausea, wanting to vomit, back ache, pains in my abdomen and extremely tired. Does anyone else have these symptoms? I am just so scared it's cancer. I know it sounds like I am jumping to the wrong conclusion, but I just feel so ill all the time. Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it feels like bubbles gurgling all the way up to my left rib cage.  So much it makes me feel sick to my stomach.  It is extremely annoying.  I used to feel this sensation after my c section along the incision just before my period.  But this never goes away and hasn't since February when I had mid cycle bleeding with fluid.  I am sooo sick of this I could scream it's like dreading to go to sleep at night.  I sit up against pillows trying to stop it.  I like you explanation though, it's more than I got from the Gyno.

Hi springyes. I just replied to your message and then saw this reply from you on this post. When you say "felt so much gas rolling up my intestines" do you mean like you have bubbles of air/gas constantly in your stomach, particularly in the lower abdo? It's hard to explain but the last 3 days I have been having  this too. Is is a normal sensation in the sense that it happens sometimes normally but when it is constant it is a very strange sensation. I was wondering about this too? I think maybe it is from all your organs, particularly the bowel having pressure on them and being 'disturbed' from cysts/s. I remember when I had my last child, born by c-section, by bowel pain was very intense. One nurse explained that usually the bowel is disturbed during the surgery, even if it is not actually touched and this can cause pain, and extra gas. I would think that having a cyst's or mass in this area that are not normally there it would have to disrupt other organs close to it. I hope that makes sense :)

Hi Springyes, thanks so much for replying. Like you, I am going to be having an ultrasound of my stomach then probably a transvaginal one afterwards. Good luck for the 27th April, let me know what the Gyn says. I find that dr's just don't understand this issue - my dr thought I had IBS so gave me meds for that, even though I said the pain was right down into my back. Like you, I want mine out or operated on as I just cannot function on a day to day basis like this. I just want to feel normal again!
Be strong and let me know how you get on will you? Thanks again and good luck, Sarah x

Oh my gosh, I certainly can relate. I feel sick to my stomach every morning I wake up and have since February.  I had a ultra sound where she seen something on my ovary so she gave me a transvaginal one.  I have to wait until I See my GYN on April 27th before I hopefully find out what is going on.  I have already been to see him before the ultra sound and he looked at me like  I had 2 heads when I said I felt so much gas rolling up my intestines from my ovary that I sometimes have to get up and cant sleep.  I asked him if anyone ever told him that they feel like their ovary is a volcano and he said no.  Well thats what mine feels like only when I lay down not so much during the day.  If this is not cancer and is a cyst doing this then I want it out either way, it is driving me crazy. I am extremely tired and have to lay down sometimes during the day to nap which isnt like me.  I am truly scared and hate the wait but there is not a darn thing you can do but hope for the best.  I have 2 girls14 and 11 that need me very much, so I have to be strong for them.

Hi and welcome to the forum.  First of all, take a deep breath and relax (I know easier said than done when you are waiting ;-) and know that ovarian cyst symptoms and ovarian cancer symptoms are mostly the same.  Ovarian cyst's effect each person differently.  I have had all of the symptoms you have described with my cyst.  I am glad that you are getting an ultrasound on Monday.  It will ease your mind when you know what is going on.  Good luck and please keep us posted on how you are doing.
