Polup instead of cyst WOW

Hi All
I went in for surgery today and my gyno removed a polup from my uteris and what she thought was a cyst is actually my intestines"1 anyway" wrapped around my olvary. I do a follow up Thursday to get pathology report and to discuss hysterectomy. I am so confused as to why they did not see this on my TVU? Also how did this happen?  Don't know what to think. WOW...
I am not feeling to bad from the laproscopic procedure though so that's a good thing.Any of you ladies ever heard of this happening. Thanks 2 all for your prayers and best wishes.

I went to the hysterectomy forum and was reading some of their stories sounds like I have endometreosis so that pretty much answers my questions. I just hope that we can leave one ovary so that I will not be thrown into med. induced menopause.
