Post Menopausal ...Scared out of my mind

I am 51, postmenopausal, my official age of menopause is 47, my symptons have been repeated UTI which have been treated with antibiotics, I have also been on Vagifem which I must admit I have been very lax at taking and have only used one box, I did use the last one a couple of days before my symptons appeared, my symptons are, blood stained discharge for a day or two, pelvic pain, low back ache, lightheadeness and slightly bloated, I went to see my GP who has put me on a two week referral and my appointment for a TVultrasound and Biopsy are not til the middle of next week, and I am going out of my mind with worry, I am worried it could be uterine cancer, cervical cancer or ovarian cancer and then the next minute I am thinking it may just be a cyst, can anybody maybe help me who might have been in the same situation.

I had my uterus removed when I was 42 (last year).  Did not have a biopsy.

Hi thank you for your reply. my doctor said i had mild thrush and I was given a vaginal pessary last week. There is no history of cancer in the family, I have had abnormal cells on my cervix twice in the past my last smear test was 2 years ago which was normal. In the uk we are only tested every 3 years. I just very worried in case this is cancer. Can i ask how old you were when you had ur uterus removed and did you have the uterine biopsy? I not looking forward to that proceedure as from what i've read most women say its very painful and recommend taking some anti-inflammorty pills before, not sure how long to take the pills before the biopsy. many thanks again

Could the white discharge be a yeast infection?  Glad the pain has decreased.  Is there a history of cancer in your family?  Have you had any other abdomincal surgeries?  My gyn seems to think my pain can be from scar tissue.

Hi thank you for your reply. I am having a vaginal ultrasound and a uterine biopsy as my GP wants to know what is happening inside me, as I went to the doctors due to a bloody discharge. The pain has been in both sides and central too, In the past day or so the back pain and pelvic pain has abated a bit and is barely there but I do still have a bit of white discharge. I am just worried it is cancer, I know no one will do until I am checked out and had the uterine biopsy but what are the chances this is just something not serious, I have had 2 normal delivery pregancies, thank you.

Hi there, don't know much about Vagifem side effects but I do know about fibroid tumors and ovarian cysts.  Was your pelvic pain on one side or the other?  I know that ovarian cysts can cause bloating and back pain.  By "TV" do you mean vaginal?  What is your GP going to biopsy if they don't know what is in there?  I had my uterus removed for several fibroid tumors and am now dealing with ovarian cysts.  May have to have one removed in November if it hasn't shrunk or absorbed.
