Scared it won't go away.

So just this past week I was diagnosed with a 6.7 cm cyst with no septations nodularity or vascularity.  They did not specifically state whether it was simple but I am assuming because they didn't say otherwise. Anyway they want to see me again in 2 months to make sure it is going away. The past week or so was really painful, and I was on my period so double whammy.  Now the period is gone and the pain is mostly gone but I still feel the pressure. Especially when my bladder is full.  I am terrified it won't go away or it is more sinister.   Has anyone had one this large that has managed to go away?

Yes, it is drastic. Unfortunately, it hit happens much more than people realize.

I'm curious why they would remove all your reproductive organs if it was benign? Seems a bit drastic!  I am so sorry it is causing you so much strife!

Thank you for the reassurance. Pesky female organs!! It is now 3 days after my period and I am actually not in any pain!  The urgency to get to the bathroom is still there but not as bad. I am taking that as a good sign.  Now to wait lol

Hang in there! If it does get too painful, you can ask to have another ultrasound sooner. It is a good sign that it is not complex (no septations, nodularity, or vascularity).

I had a 9.5cm complex cyst and was rushed into surgery at age 49. I wish I would have done things very differently because my surgeon removed all my "reproductive" organs even though the frozen section was benign. My health and quality of life are suffering due to the loss of these organs that have life long vital functions.

I'm pretty much in the same situation as you. Diagnosed with a 5.6cm cyst last month. This being less than two months after I had surgery to remove a 13cm cyst. Pretty much in my experience it's wait and see if it goes away or starts to shrink. If it gets bigger or is still there and causing discomfort after a few cycles, then they usually do surgery to remove it. Hope that helps!
