I tried it at 6 weeks and it was PAINFUL. I am going to wait 4 more weeks to do that again!!!
Yeah, i took a bath 2 days ago and had sex last night. (My surgery was March 26th). Honestly, i would not recommend having sex yet. It was ok, but i felt some weird pain during and general discomfort and pain afterwards. If i had the chance to go back, i would not have done it.
I glad evrthing went great with surgery but yes, i agree with the above ladies comments u should wit 6 weeks that the normal procedure.
hope a nice recovery

Yes, two weeks is too soon. I had a laparotomy done to remvoe mass, left ovary and a cyst. I waited about 6 weeks before having sex. It did hurt afterwards, the area where I am assuming she took out the ovary/cyst hurt like he//, but only after sex.. Waited another 2 weeks and it was a lot better. Now it does not bother me when I have sex, but the incision is still tender. (7-8" long) I had the surgeyr done in Feb. 09.
The reason I waited six weeks was because they had to literally stick two hands and push aside, or lay on my stomach, some of my organs in order to get to the mass that was underneath my aorta in the pelvis area. I think that is why I was SO SORE, but the surgeon warned me I would be.
But everyone is different, but I would still think 2 weeks is not enough time for the inside to heal after surgery.
Your doctor should have given you a list of do's and don'ts before surgery. If they didn't, please call them to ask your specific questions.
I can tell you now...2 weeks is TOO SOON.
Your Dr. is the best one to advise you since every patient is different in their recovery... What did he/she say???
